Our team is proud to be part of the new Live Oak Pavilion at Horseshoe Bay Resort, a Four-Diamond Texas Hill Country destination and member of Crescent Hotels & Resorts' Latitudes collection. The resort is adding a brand-new event venue scheduled to open in January 2026, bringing more than 10,000 square feet of flexible space for corporate events, weddings, and special occasions.

Project Overview

Designed to host everything from executive meetings to multi-day conferences and grand receptions, the Pavilion required an electrical infrastructure that could adapt to changing layouts, production needs, and guest expectations—without compromising safety, performance, or aesthetics.

Venue Design & Functionality

The Live Oak Pavilion is designed as a highly adaptable event space. The main hall can be used as one large room or divided into two separate banquet spaces, making it ideal for everything from small meetings to large conferences and receptions.

Large movable glass walls allow the indoor space to open directly to the outdoors, creating a seamless flow between the interior and the surrounding landscape. Guests will enjoy views of a lagoon and water features, along with an arbor-style patio that’s perfect for outdoor ceremonies, cocktail hours, and receptions.

As a Texas-based commercial electrical contractor specializing in hospitality and large-scale event venues, 4A Electrical Services was brought in to design and install the electrical systems that ensure the Pavilion is not only visually impressive, but fully engineered for the real-world demands of high-traffic, production-heavy events.

Before:

Horseshoe Bay Resort relied on existing event spaces and temporary solutions for larger groups or more complex setups.

That often meant:

  • Limited flexibility for simultaneous events

  • More reliance on temporary power and extension cords for certain layouts

  • Fewer options for dramatic lighting or custom ambiance

  • Space and infrastructure that weren’t purpose-built for modern AV needs

After:

  • A purpose-built event venue with power and lighting designed around real event use

  • Permanent infrastructure for lighting, AV, catering equipment and trade show setups

  • Cleaner, safer power distribution with properly sized panels and circuits

  • Modern lighting controls to transform the space from conference mode to wedding/reception mode at the touch of a button

This transformation reflects our approach on every commercial project: design electrical systems that reduce setup time, improve safety, and give venue operators total confidence on event day.

4A Electrical Services provided full electrical installation services for the Live Oak Pavilion, including:

  • New electrical service and distribution for the Pavilion

  • Panel-board installation and circuiting for lighting, receptacles and equipment

  • Interior and exterior lighting for the main event space, lounges, patios and walkways

  • Lighting control systems for flexibility between conferences, banquets, and weddings

  • Dedicated power for AV systems, catering equipment, and bar service areas

  • Emergency and life-safety systems, including egress lighting and exit signs

  • Coordination with architects, mechanical, AV, and kitchen consultants to ensure seamless integration between electrical systems and building operations

Inside, the Pavilions features design elements that reflect the Texas Hill Country, including chandeliers, floating wood ceilings, and local stone accents. Exposed timbers add to the warm, rustic feel, while private lounges and dedicated bar areas help create a comfortable, upscale guest experience.

  • Our electrical systems were carefully integrated into architectural features through strategic lighting placement in order to highlight these features

  • Dimmable circuits for chandeliers and accent fixtures

  • Cleanly concealed wiring and fixtures to keep the focus on the design—not the hardware

Power Distribution & Panel Work

We installed and configured the panel-boards and branch circuits that feed the Pavilion, making sure they’re sized and laid out for:

  • High-demand event loads

  • Caterer and bar equipment

  • Future expansion or layout changes

Circuiting was planned to give the resort flexibility without overloading any single area.

Lighting & Control Systems

To support different types of events, the Pavilion uses layered lighting and control zones, allowing staff to switch between:

  • Bright, even lighting for meetings and conferences

  • Softer, warm lighting for receptions and dinners

  • Focused accent lighting for ceremonies or presentations

These controls allow staff to adjust lighting scenes quickly without requiring on-site technicians, improving efficiency and consistency across events.

Emergency Power & Life Safety

Safety is foundational on a venue of this size. Our work includes:

  • Emergency and egress lighting so exits are clear and visible

  • Exit signs placed to meet code and be easy to follow

  • Proper separation and labeling of circuits to support life-safety requirements

Where required, we coordinated with the resort and design team to ensure compatibility with existing backup systems.

AV & Event Infrastructure Support

Modern events rely heavily on AV and production equipment. We supported that by:

  • Providing dedicated power for AV racks and equipment locations

  • Ensuring clean, stable power to reduce hum, flicker or interference

  • Planning receptacle locations with event layouts in mind (stages, screens, podiums, etc.)

We worked closely with AV and event production teams to ensure power distribution supports modern digital presentations, live streaming, professional sounds systems, and dynamic lighting setups without risk of overload or signal interference.

Built for Corporate Events, Weddings & Large Gatherings

For corporate clients, Live Oak Pavilion is set up to handle everything from large general sessions to simultaneous breakout meetings, exhibitions and trade shows. The space can be configured for:

  • Conference-style seating

  • Trade show or exhibit layouts

  • Meal service and receptions

For couples, the Pavilion offers a dedicated bridal suite with a private lounge and enough capacity to host events of up to approximately 700 guests, depending on setup.

The Live Oak Pavilion represents the type of commercial and hospitality work that defines 4A Electrical Services’ construction division—high-visibility projects where electrical systems must perform flawlessly under pressure. From corporate conferences and large weddings to multi-day trade shows, this venue demands reliability, flexibility, and precision.

Our team is proud to deliver infrastructure that supports exceptional guest experiences while helping resort operators run smooth, efficient, and safe events.
